HELPFUL INFORMATION

Finding a therapist that is a good fit can be a challenge.  I would encourage you to make a list of questions and concerns and make phone calls and meet a few people.  Take referrals from friends, family or other professionals. Your comfort is most important. It is reasonable to feel anxious in your search until you find someone with whom you feel safe.

What is your fee?

My fee for individual therapy is $135 for a 50 minute session and $160 for a 90 minute session.  My fee for couples therapy is $150 for a 50 minutes session and $175 for a 90 minute session.  I do have a limited number of slots designated for a sliding scale.  I usually see clients once a week. Occasionally clients in need of more support or those doing more depth oriented work I see twice a week.

Do you take insurance?

I am a network provider for Aetna PPO, Blue Shield PPO and Magellan PPO insurances. I am  able to accept most PPO plans.  If your insurance accepts out of network providers, I am happy to furnish you with a monthly super-bill for you to submit for reimbursement. Co-payments are due at the time of service.

How long will it take?

This depends on the issue. Some issues will not require many sessions, others may take more time. Together we will decide what course to take.

Will I feel better right away?

You may and then again... If you have been repressing emotions you can expect to feel stirred up and perhaps relieved at the same time. Knowing that you’re getting help may bring you relief, but unearthing deeper feelings may be uncomfortable. I encourage you to stay with the discomfort during the initial period. There is much growth on the other side.
